Thanks a million!  I played with GIMP and ImageMagick to do dilate
operations, but the effect was not nearly as good as pcb's 'bloat'
option.  This really helps my old LaserJet.  All the "better" and
"newer" printers I have access to, even professional grade
LJ5100 and LJ 4100, as well as a couple of Dell laser printers,
don't produce a dense enough toner print, no matter what I try.
Only the cheap old LaserJet 3330 works for me to get a nice dense
print.
