It is a long standing todo of gEDA Project (http://wiki.geda-project.org/pcb-projects) proposed by Stuart Brorson in 2008 as I can see from wiki history. The problem is that gEDA project is orphaned and abandoned by most original main developers and those, who are still working on gEDA, are very busy now and cannot support all proposed projects. Therefore it seems that the best you could do is to file a bug report providing it with your patchset. Hopefully it will be added sometime. Or make your own branch on github to make your work available to other users. Regards, Vladimir
