In all seriousness, I have multiple mice in mind. (I have no time
to do such a thing, but since X supports it, we might as well.)
By using xinput, it is easy to create multiple cursors and shuffle
mice between them, but pcb doesn't handle this well.
As for gpcb-menu.res, you don't need to modify the file prior to
making -- just copying the file into $HOME/.pcb should be fine. No
recompilation required.
However, the copy in the local directory trumps your $HOME copy,
which is something to be aware of if you're using a development
version.
