Dear Members,
Is there any "official" way to connect SMD pads to polygons in PCB? I am usually create a simple cross using tracks with "join" flag set and then copy it to given pads. It works, but sometimes is problematic, especially when I need to remove a connection. I think that it is common to use polygons as a ground planes, so such connection is often needed. I wish that I could add and remove pad-polygon connection with one click like with normal through-hole pads.
Long time ago one of the developers (I think that it was Peter Clifton, but I'm not sure) send me a PCB plugin to auto add thermals to pads that should be connected to a given net. I have lost this plugin in a very stupid way and now I can not find it anywhere. Could You Peter send it again please? For some time I want to start learning writing PCB plugins, but with very limited documentation it is hard... Anyway this is the most wanted functionality for me and I wish to spend some time on it :-).
Very best regards,
Michael W.
