This subject has come up before, so I am hoping people have had some experience trying this out - using a hot-plate to handle the reflow soldering on a pcb. Has anyone ever considered trying it out on a cast-iron skillet? Seems to me that the large thermal mass would avoid hot spots, and after removing the heat, it would keep its temperature steady for a while. Dumb idea?
