gschem should be able to recover your work up until practically the moment 
of the crash from the autosave files, so no work should be lost even in a 
situation like this.  Does this not work for you?

In order to fix the crash, I need to be able to reproduce it.  Can you 
provide me with a series of actions that reliably triggers the problem?
