Thanks for the reply, I was beginning to wonder if this list was
active. I came to Gerbv after using the "free like beer" tools. I
think GC-preview is the one that uses a "free" subscription. If you
don't download it again in six months or something it expires and won't
work. I have had so many problems with licensed tools expiring at
inopportune times. So I don't use GC-preview. I tried ViewMate, but
the free version is crippled in that you can't save a project so you
have to reload all the durn Gerber files every time and I get tired of
dealing with that nonsense.

So I am using Gerbv which lets me import my Gerber files save the result
and any time I want I can reload the Gerber files to view my updates. A
very useful tool.

So is there any chance of getting some feedback on my issue with the
tool? Is this the right place to ask? I used to post on geda-user but
that list seems to have been deprecated in favor of this one for support
and the developers have their own list now.

Rick
