Subject: [geda-help] Invalid borders specified for theme pixmap:,
/usr/share/themes/Breeze/gtk-2.0/../assets/line-h.png,,borders don't fit
within the image invalid source position for vertical gradient
Reply-To: geda-help AT delorie DOT com

Hi Mr Delorie,

I'm not sure i'm using the right way to submit a bug, sorry for that i'm
searching for some weeks now how to do so ...

Maybe i can talk a little bit of my subject.

My system is Manjaro (Linux), Arch based with a rolling release, so up
to date.

On Manjaro the gschem in place is the gschem 1.10.2 (gf1a392e).

Fresh install of the system, geda-gaf installed just after some others
like openoffice or thunderbird.

My user rep new, nothing old in place. (the old one...deleted before
install)

I have a msg in the log window of gschem, the one in the subject :

Invalid borders specified for theme pixmap:,
/usr/share/themes/Breeze/gtk-2.0/../assets/line-h.png,,borders don't fit
within the image invalid source position for vertical gradient

This could be not an issue if this msg not pop up at each ask to the
menu : "File"  - "Edit" - "Add" - "Object" - etc ...

And this msg make the application slower and slower, at each click ...

Tried Lepton on Manjaro : bug is present, version is 1-9 (Lepton seems
buggy no ?)

In Virtualbox :

I have tried the gEDA-gaf installed on Mageia : runs like a charm but
the version is 1-8 ...

Tried on Kubuntu Lepton : bug (1-9), gEDA : no (1-8)

I have tried these distrib because i thought that themes were buggy in
Arch based distrib ...

I have compared the conf file of Theme in Mageia an Manjaro : no
significant differences.

(in the idea of modifying the theme files to make all works together but
it was not a good one)

So the bug is relative to a version, not to the base (Debian or Arch) of
distrib

My intention is not to install Lepton because seems buggy and not stable
(just ... krash on Mageia, very very slow on Manjaro, same on Kubuntu
...) I have tried Lepton just because version are the same between
systems and forked from your job to compare and try to understand, i'm
not a dev...)

I think you have solved this bug by the past because we can find traces
of it in Arch archives and some relative traces in Ubuntu for version
1-7 or 1-8 i can't remember exactly, and there's no bug in 1-8.

Am i right ?

Let me know if i'm at the right place and using the right way please.

Regards,

Occo Hellendoorn
