Oh no, please :-)

They describe how to install it from sources. You don't need
that. Just do in your terminal:

  sudo apt-get install libglib2.0-dev

or

  sudo aptitude install libglib2.0-dev

or just

  sudo aptitude

and use its UI to select and install the package.
