--000000000000e293b505867f6e4b Content-Type: text/plain; charset="UTF-8" Hi gEDA folk This is about which files are recommended to exist, or perhaps essential, and a GTK message. I am just starting out trying my new compiled lepton-schematic. I also now have the most recent compiled pcb. I put the executable in /graham/bin Both these do at least start up, and I am very pleased about that! The GTK message comes when I run pcb, and also when I run lepton-schematic -------------------------------------------------- graham AT box1 $ pcb Gtk-Message: 16:09:48.765: Failed to load module "atk-bridge" sh: 1: /home/graham/bin/../share/pcb/ListLibraryContents.sh: not found --------------------------------------------------- I confirm I that I already have *libata-bridge2.0-0* and also *libata-bridge2.0-0-dev* installed from the repository.Does this matter? Did I miss somehow managing not to create a /usr/share/pcb? lepton-schematic also brings a similar message --------------------------------------------------- graham AT box1 $ lepton-schematic Gtk-Message: 16:17:37.997: Failed to load module "atk-bridge" --------------------------------------------------- Quite separately, when I run leptom-schematic, the messages in the Status window indicate some system.conf and geda-user.conf files do not exist. Previously, system-wide configurations were where the distro software manager put them, in /usr/share/geda, which is no longer there after the purge. There is also a /etc/xdg route that is empty. *Status* (lepton-schematic) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lepton EDA/lepton-schematic version 1.9.7.20181211 git: 381c17b Loaded RC file [/home/graham/lepton/share/lepton-eda/system-gafrc] Failed to load config from "/etc/xdg/xdg-mate/lepton-eda/geda-system.conf": Error opening file /etc/xdg/xdg-mate/lepton-eda/geda-system.conf: No such file or directory Failed to load config from "/home/graham/.gEDA/geda-user.conf": Error opening file /home/graham/.gEDA/geda-user.conf: No such file or directory Failed to load config from "/home/graham/geda.conf": Error opening file /home/graham/geda.conf: No such file or directory Loaded RC file [/home/graham/lepton/share/lepton-eda/system-gschemrc] New file [/home/graham/untitled_1.sch] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I keep a local gEDA folder where I put local-sym and pcb-elements I put a gafrc file, and a symlink to packages in any project folder. Do we still keep a system-wide symbols and footprints library in a /usr/share/geda? (That one has now disappeared)! I am reading up as much as I can to find out if it is only that I may not have completed something, but, I could do with some hints if you know. Thanks in advance Regards Graham --000000000000e293b505867f6e4b Content-Type: text/html; charset="UTF-8" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable <div dir=3D"ltr"><div>Hi gEDA folk</div><div>This is about which files are = recommended to exist, or perhaps essential, and a GTK message.<br></div><di= v>I am just starting out trying my new compiled lepton-schematic.</div><div= >I also now have the most recent compiled pcb.
