Thanks for your help again. After trying on a new Fedora install, and
removing pcb and reinstalling on the other computer, still same thing. At
least now, messing with the groups, and saving the pcb file, seems to be
holding now. Now the groups line looks like this:
Groups("1,7,c:2,s:3:4:5:6:8")

Yea, probably right. So, far I haven't been able to use pcb-rnd. If i just
run it, it goes into batch mode. If I try it with my pcb file, I get:
E:outline layer can not be on the solder or component side - converting it into a copper layer
outline layer can not be on the solder or component side - converting it into a copper layer
W:No preferred unit format info available and guessing failed for 'zhat.pcb' - will use 'geda/pcb - readable units' on save
No preferred unit format info available and guessing failed for 'zhat.pcb' - will use 'geda/pcb - readable units' on save
Entering pcb version 2.1.0 batch mode.
See http://repo.hu/projects/pcb-rnd for project information
zhat.pcb:action>
So, I'll leave that for now. At least I know how to get out of trouble (change the groups line to what I pasted above should do it if it happens again I suppose.).
Thanks again for all the help!
