the Software pcb some times will be old and the programmers also.

I'm happy about Solution like FreeCAD.
FreeCAD is not finished,
but the structure is so flexible and the Python-Interface so nice.
Many People deliver yet now Macros for FreeCAD.

Freecad is a mix from C and Python.
Possible they have a draw.c and a Object.py i don't know exactly.
