I got the latest version of PCB from the git repository and compiled it. T=
he second problem went away. There are no conversion errors when I copy the=
LED2.pcb example.
I still have the original problem where the pad display is wrong.=C2=A0I ad=
ded 2 SMT 0805 to a test file and performed the test.
Before the file was saved the SMT foot prints were correctly displayed, but=
once saved to a file, then reloaded the SMT components were improperly dis=
played as in the image previously sent in this thread.
I attached the foot print and the resulting file. This was the minimal conf=
iguration I could make.=C2=A0
I thought it might be a problem with one of the external libraries which is=
used to render the GUI. =C2=A0But if it was, would the display error =C2=
=A0not also be visible when the component is first placed on the layout, be=
fore saving?=C2=A0
Any ideas on what I can do next?

I haven't seen this problem, but I also haven't used your version.

The unit is changed because newer versions switched to using nm
coordinates internally.
The calculation error is a bug. It might be the same bug that messes
up the 0805.
