This might be related to issue https://bugs.launchpad.net/pcb/+bug/1242828
I didn't have a good sense of what to do with the bug back then, and wasn't
keeping track of the changes that I made to get around it.

If you could add yourself as an 'affects me', and post the pcb file
that segfaults for me to test, that would be great.

Interesting to hear it didn't segfault with pcb-rnd!
