gschem loads both gschemrc and gafrc, and both files have
"(component-library...)" lines with the same path. This is why
gschem shows your custom symbols twice.

The line in gafrc works for all gaf tools including gschem, while
the line in gschemrc works only for gschem. Therefore, just remove
it from gschemrc to get only one instance of the library in the
"Select component" window.
