True, but actually I was referring to the simpler and now-available
3D board rotation (not 3D parts models) that you can use today from
the gl_experimental branch.  While a bit of a novelty, I have found
the 3D board view useful at times.

It's true that it could be done, but unless I can convince them to
make a large-scale move to GNU/Linux, it won't be a good solution.
I'm sure they won't be happy about rebooting into another OS every
time they want to access an EDA design, or refer to an email.
