This is a port of GNU help2man 1.47.11 to MSDOS/DJGPP.
help2man is a perl script to create simple man pages from the --help and
--version output of programs.
DJGPP specific changes.
=======================
- There are no DJGPP specific user visible changes to the script.
- Because most of the file names are not 8.3 clean you will need LFN
support to build the products.
- The port has been configured to be build in the "_build" directory
under the top source directory.
- The port has been configured and compiled on WinXP SP3, Win98SE and
MSDOS 6.22. There is no guarantee that this may work on any other
DOS-like OS.
This is a verbatim extract of the NEWS file:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Version 1.47 June 9, 2015
* Set document language for localised info pages.
* Add French and Spanish translation of info documentation.
* Add Spanish and Danish translations.
* Add support for reproducible builds by using $SOURCE_DATE_EPOCH as the
date for the generated pages.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
All the changes done to the original distribution are documented in the diffs
file and located together with all the files needed to configure the package
(config.bat, config.sed, config.site, etc.) in the "djgpp" directory.
To use help2man you will need to install the DJGPP ports of Perl and bash.
The port consists of the usual three packages that have been produced
using djdev205 and can be downloaded from ftp.delorie.com and mirrors
as (time stamp 2019-08-18):
