Hi,

Any specific reason? What do you need this specific
version of GhostScript to do? Do the older DOS builds
not work in some way? Have you tried? (Just trying
to be pragmatic here.)

I'm not saying you're wrong to try, but it's *very*
difficult to build such projects that are primarily
only concerned with native Linux support. So without
a lot of upstream help (or downstream patching), I'm
quite pessimistic. Sorry, there just aren't enough
active volunteers. I mean, I like compiling stuff,
but things like this are no fun.

Actually, I forgot that even most Linux-y projects
still often support Windows and Mac. Since you use
XP, I'm blindly assuming their 32-bit Windows builds
will work correctly there (even though XP is almost
dead). I know, that doesn't solve the DJGPP question,
but it's better than nothing. (After all, native DOS
isn't really that interested in PostScript nor PDF
anyways.)

If it's XP's bug, you're probably out of luck. You
might be able to try Japheth's NTDPMIX (or whatever),
but I doubt it will help here. Microsoft OSes are not
very DJGPP friendly anymore.

Presumably you would just use the pre-existing build of
TIFF from DJGPP mirrors. According to Juan's May 21
announcement: "To configure and compile the package and
later to use it, you will have to install the zlib,
ljpeg8b and the png port available at ftp.delorie.com
and mirrors".
