If so, then it's a DJGPP-only problem, probably because our ports of
CoreUtils (FileUtils) is too old.

I've read various *nix people say that "rm -f" is a common idiom
that is politely ignored. I think some big GNU project (Automake?)
is explicitly depending on that, and it will probably be in
POSIX soon, if not already.
