I did test Ada from your latest GCC 4.7.1 with Gautier's 3D engine in pure native FreeDOS. It compiles and works fine (at least makefast.bat), but only with LFNs enabled. Otherwise gnatmake "seems" to hang, and using -v showed it maybe had something to do with temporary file names. Hence, I just unpacked everything GCC-related again with LFNs enabled, then it worked fine. I don't know why a temporary filename problem would seemingly hang it, but that's my guess at what was happening.
