that was C99.  this is C1X we are talking about.  but according to the
table you are quoting from, threads are listed in under the "optional"
heading, and implementable via a macro #define.
look at the cool Generic macros!  it's almost template-like... :-))

still gonna stick with C++ though..  waiting patiently for as much *C+
+11* as I can get.  I wish unicode streams weren't tabled (well,
that's up for debate,m some say it is and some say it isn't, I can't
really be spending the money right now to buy the C++11 standard paper
to find out how it works).
