Can you show the full link command line that aborts?

I suspect that the command is larger than the transfer buffer used by
DJGPP programs to pass command lines.  You could try enlarging that
buffer (using stubedit) in all involved programs: gcc.exe, ld.exe, and
maybe also make.exe.
