At the risk of talking to myself (since you probably don't follow this
group much), aren't you the DJGPP Perl dude? Or at least one of 'em?
(mentioned in docs) By chance, have you tried building latest 5.12.0?
(I don't need it, just vaguely curious since my attempts in Perl are
pretty much non-existant ... although I did rebuild one or two older
versions recently for laughs.)

EDIT: Seems 5.12.1 came out "today"! Actually, I'm surprised to see
5.6.2 also (5.6.1 was ported by Richard Dawe way back in the day)
although I know about our current 5.8.8 (and incomplete 5.8.9,
Juan??). Blair Campbell's always busy, so I never bugged him about his
5.10.0 compile via DJELF. I think the original Perl 5 port to DJGPP
was from Laszlo Molnar.
