You mean VBE/AF? Yeah, that's sometimes better but pretty much old
drivers only (if even).

You'll have to install to HD or fake HD inside QEMU, VirtualBox, etc.
Actually, that .iso is getting old, but it still hasn't been
(officially) updated.   :-(      I'm not 100% sure about UNetBootIn,
but it should probably be able to use the .iso to install to USB (as
it does with others, e.g. gNewSense or Puppy). Burning a CD won't
really help here (unless you convert a floppy image to small .iso,
which is pretty easy to do). I could send you a pre-made FreeDOS
floppy image (or converted to .iso) if that's easier for you.

P.S. Did you also compile for Allegro/Win32? (Guess not if using
VESA.) It might be easier in the long run. Of course, Windows ain't as
fun, IMHO.   ;-)
