I'm no expert (by far), but since I'm already here, I'll have to
do!    ;-)

First of all, Andris has indeed built test builds of 4.3.0 and 4.3.1,
but they aren't finished yet (problems w/ 2.03p2 versions??). So, use
those at your own risk.

Also, C++0x isn't finalized yet (hence, the 'x'). So even if there is
experimental support in GCC, I don't think most people (should?) use
it yet, at least not for another year or so.

Modern C++ programs?? Such as what?? What exactly won't compile with G+
+ 4.2.3 which we already have and use?
