Try

echo "#include <wchar.h>" | gpp -c -x c++ - -o /dev/null

Under bash (with DJGPP v2.03r2 of course).
I do not want to edit C++ headers outside DJGPP specific ones. I also would
prefer not to have modified DJGPP header in GCC packages.
