WinXP is not Win2K.  The two computers with the perldoc
error in djgpp perl 5.8.8 are both Windows 2000, not
(95)|(98)|(98SE)|(ME)|(XP)|(VISTA)|(Longhorn)|(Shorthorn)
or whatever.

(I'd use Fedora, but the installer isn't compatible with
my hardware.)

Configuration of what?

If you mean, configuration of the Perl build, I'm using
the binary distribution, rather than building from source.
It should be preconfigured.  Apparently, those
preconfigurations don't work for Win2K.

(On a related note, I noticed some other problems last
night with the djgpp Perl 5.8.8 binary release, but
that deserves a separate thread.)
