Thanks Folks,

Reading the RHIDE archives, I discovered that the crashes I was getting were
a known fault.  I loaded RHIDE_1.5.0.1 and it seems to be working.  15b has
apparently crashed with the same stop for a lot of people, and there's
another version that I tried (15ab?) that did not give a cursor on the IDE
screen.

I'm up now, though.  My thanks to Gerritt.
