I don't think RHIDE is any better at providing feedback than make is.
Certainly not enough to go through all the hassle of turning an
existing, probably well-tested and working makefile into an experiment
on how to set up RHIDE projects.  I.e. if you must ask how to make tha
RHIDE project, given a make file, then odds are the resulting project
will be of dubious usability, at best.
