If you are using Windows then have a look at WinMerge at the following
URL:
	www.winmerge.sourceforge.net

It works very well and is open source. This sourceforge project has
been very well supported for the last 12+ months and I if you do want
to use windows then give this a go, but be aware that it is not a
command line tool.

I have been using the dev versions for over 6+ months and they allow
me to compare and merge code very quickly as well as produce reports
quickly.
