It doesn't work on my system:

E:\MCollado\verylong.directory.name>pwd
e:/MCollado/verylong.directory.name

E:\MCollado\VERYLO~1.NAM>cd ..\verylo~1.nam

E:\MCollado\VERYLO~1.NAM>

I've written a script to automatically restore the LFN prompt. It's
overkill, but works.

--- lfnok.bat ---
@pwd | gawk "{gsub(\"/\",\"\\\");print \"@cd \" $0}" > %TEMP%\_lfnok.bat
@%TEMP%\_lfnok
-----------------

E:\MCollado\verylong.directory.name>pwd
e:/MCollado/verylong.directory.name

E:\MCollado\VERYLO~1.NAM>lfnok

E:\MCollado\verylong.directory.name>

Hope it helps,
