For UPX 1.25 to work it is essential to target "foo.exe" not
"foo," and, when an auxiliary library is linked, set LDFLAGS=-s,
if this be permissible.  There are special cases where the
object files must be stripped before before building the
library.  When I can find the one example where Richard Dawe
offered a script to do this I will check it out.
