i wrote the program wrong.

any updated tutorial for c++ was suggested by another.
well where to get that.

i was using turbo c++ and there were no problems like
this before as it is a well old compiler.

i also used mandrake linux recently (ver 8) and
compiled many programs (older versions as i stated
)with that also but never quite had a such a problem.
i also used string.h library with that but that was
not available in turbo c++ so i switched to djgpp. 

anyone please tell me where to get networking manuals
(socket programming) and on nodes (linked lists). 

One more question 
are there any libraries for database connectivity in
djgpp or a library irself for creating and running
databases (with sql) like JDBC.
