I'm somewhat doubtful about Win95 working *at all* on a machine with
that much RAM.  At the very least, I think you'll have to override
the default DPMI memory settings of the DOS box.

It's unclear what system your "win95 diskette" actually booted, making
it hard to interpret this.  Win95 itself doesn't actually fit on a
diskette, so: did that disk just boot a Win95 you had installed on the
hard disk, or is it actually just DOS7 booting off a floppy?  In the
latter case, you obviously can't have any DPMI --- there's no DPMI
server running.
