DJGPP's `ln' supports _hard_ links (it eulates them by copying), but
soft links are supported only for executable programs.

I don't know what is ch professional, and how and for what purposes it
uses `ln'.  Can you provide those details?

In general, symlinks are not supported on DOS/Windows systems.  Cygwin
has simulated symlinks, and DJGPP introduces that support in the
development code; you could get that from the alpha/beta directories
on the DJGPP site, if you really need that.
