Thanks for the information, but I am dumber than the average bear and
can't figure out how to detect this.

I do have code, get a key, print the numeric representation:

ie
int ch;
ch=getxkey();

printf("%x",ch);

this works with "normal" keys, but I can't get anything with ctrl-1,
ctrl-2,
ctrl-3 etc...

if you could post some code, I'd apreciate it!
