Good point,

A patch was submitted to Daniel Veillard that basically takes advantage of
the Windows file i/o routines if __DJGPP__ is defined (nothing profound).
There should therefore be no problems to recognize xml/xslt files on the
local system, but I think there are about five of the headers that come with
the library that go beyond the 8.3 nomenclature.

BTW, keep in mind that the socket support builds well with Wattcp32
installed ;-)
