Hi,

I am having trouble compiling an older version of allegro (3.12):

gcc -I. -Isrc -Iobj/djgpp -Wall -Wno-unused -o obj/djgpp/blit8.o -c
src/blit8.S
d:/djgpp/tmp\cc9EHfvS.s: Assembler messages:
d:/djgpp/tmp\cc9EHfvS.s:104: Error: suffix or operands invalid for `movs'
d:/djgpp/tmp\cc9EHfvS.s:117: Error: suffix or operands invalid for `movs'
d:/djgpp/tmp\cc9EHfvS.s:279: Error: Rest of line ignored. First ignored
character is `m'.

It includes the message "Warning: indirect call without `*'" 17 times in the
same file allong with these errors.

The exact same problem has been posted about two years earlier:

http://groups.google.com/groups?selm=3bea69a1.248385469%40news.oeaw.ac.at

Although I will follow the advice in the post (which is "get a newer
allegro", contrary to what the project states: "requires allegro 3.12") I am
also very curious to what's causing this. Are these messages a result of
version differences in DJGPP or the gcc/assembler that comes with it?

Thanks for any info,

Martijn
