We have almost all downloaded these packages, installed them according
to the directions, and successfully used them.  If there were something
wrong with the packages, you would not be the one to discover it.  We
have all walked this path without falling into the mire.  This suggests
strongly that you have *not* followed the instructions.  At least show
us the results of the changes to the environment that have resulted from
your installation.
