The only way may be to downgrade your operating system, if you really
insist on keeping RHIDE 1.4.

NT *is* a hostile platform for DOS programs, especially for
full-screen apps that try to access the video controller and frame
buffer memory directly, which is what RHIDE does.  And then there's
all that nuisance with the missing LFN support.

OTOH, I don't see much of a valid point in keeping the ragtag
collection of files found on the typical book CD intact.  Those
collections are almost invariabley either outdated, or broken, or
both.
