Does Pod/ParseLink.pm exist in any of the directories listed?
Andrew (Cottrell), if you're reading this: How did you build the packages of
Perl 5.8.0? For Perl 5.6.1 I had to hack the install scripts, to get it to put
the files somewhere other than /dev/env/DJDIR (e.g.: my packaging directory
/temp/distmake/perl561b). I also had to install with FNCASE=y, IIRC.

The port of Perl 5.8.0 has not been tested very much. For instance, I don't
know if it has the bugfixes that I have made for 5.6.1. I had a brief play
with it and it hung in its test suite, so there are definitely problems there.
You may wish to downgrade to 5.6.1.
