ah, were you referring to the gcc readme in the gcc directory of djgpp?
that info is there neither. And I didn't download the other doc formats.
And  also havent got time to look through every file (or at least i forget
which information sources there all are in the djgpp directory).
So, either better doc (as indicated in first RE), or newsgroups as explained
at bottom first RE.
