I'm considering DJGPP as a replacement for the Turbo C/C++ >compiler. Have a look at freedos (www.freedos.org) as MS don't support DOS anymore and it's official as of 31-Dec-2002. DJGPP apps that I use work okay without any extended memory manager. The other good thig about freedos in an embedded systems area is that you can get the source code and I think all of the tool's to re-build it free of charge (TC 1.0 is avilable as a free download from Borland and it's even older than the one you use!!!).
