Greetings to all. I am quite new to this group and to C++ programming,
however, I have been using computers for over 20 years and have done UNIX
application support for a good part of that.

I have just installed DJGPP and closely followed the instructions. I fired
up RHIDE and typed in my first program (C to F temperature conversion). When
I select the Compile menu, RHIDE tells me "Don't know how to build
CONVERSION.o from C:/DJGPP/MY_PROG/CONVERSION.CPP"

It is probably something simple, but it has me stuck. I did edit my
AUTOEXEC.BAT to ensure that DJGPP is in the path and the environment is set.
I did make sure that LFN=Y in the env file. I've done a lot of reading of
readme files and the FAQ (and several posts on this list). I shut down
Norton antivirus and reinstalled everything. My zip program supports long
file names and respects the existing folder paths. I am on Win98SE have
plenty of memory and environment space.

Anyone want to help a newbie? Please?

Mr. Phillip
