Under XP or 2K I would strongly advise going and downloading the Rhide
1.5.0 snapshot from www.rhide.com

It will work allot better than the 1.4.9 which will crash more than
the 1.5.0 snapshot. The 1.5.0 still crashes, but allot less. 

If 1.5.0 does crash start it with a "-S" option and if it crashes less
then you have a buggy video bios.
