In anoyher trhead, ( DJGPP problems ) I ask for DJGPP version, and OS.

This info is very important, because there are bugs in DOS support of
Windoze XP that crash several packages (like RHIDE, binutils, etc.)

The version of GCC must be >= 2.953, DJDEV >= 2.03, and must be dated after
december 2001 or later. Because you say in previous post that you get DJGPP
from a book (CD enclosed in book?), it's very probable that the packages are
older.

Check http://clio.rice.edu/djgpp/win2k/main.html for additional info.
