I filter ads anyway. Whether this says anything about my intelligence 
is another question. Maybe I'm just to dumb to deal with them, once 
they are on my screen.

This would be a good way to sponsor your site. But would it lead to a 
steady stream of revenue? Somehow I doubt that. Once all the willing 
djgpp users are subscribed, the stream would pretty much dry out. Or 
were you thinking about a monthly/annual fee?
