`so' is obviously bogus, but it's impossible to say anything
intelligent without seeing a more complete code example.  Preferably,
throw together a short but complete test program which shows the
problem, and then post the entire source.

This indicates that you have a very old version of the library.  I
suggest to upgrade to djdev203.zip, perhaps you are fighting a bug
that was already fixed.
