The Standard Template Library there is the pre-C++ standard Standard Template
Library, I think. Confusing, huh?

Ah, but which version of gcc, g++, etc. is distributed with mingw32?

AFAICR there is a singly-linked list class - it might just be called 'list' (I
don't have my C++ book here). The doubly-linked list is called deque
(pronounced "deck").
