thanks for your response, but PLEASE use the newsgroup instead of sending an
e-mail.
  I tried RSXNTDJ version 1.60 beta 2, but with the same result. In other
cases gcc 3.0.3 works fine and according to what I read in another article,
combining object files from different compiler versions should not cause
problems. (If I must, I can avoid the problem: a pre-compiled version of
the programme I wanted to use it for already exists.)
  By the way, I actually did in a way mention that I use Windows '95.
